What is Social Ecology?

The School of Social Ecology is committed to teaching and research that move beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries to develop future leaders in education, public policy, and community action. Our family of scholars develops innovations that impact global poverty to prison overcrowding, gang violence to healthy child development, and health risks to community empowerment.

Listen to Dean Jon Gould explain what is being done in the school’s three departments, how their groups collaborate on programs to solve social problems in the community and why Social Ecology Anteaters can see how they can affect change before they even graduate.
